Christina & Jason
I met Christina and Jason back in January and let me tell you these two are a great couple. Jason is a pilot and anyone who can make a giant plane fly is cool in my book while Christina is a teacher. They were so laid back and chill, I loved being a part of their big day.
Though we had stormy skies on Friday and again on Sunday the clouds parted and made for a fabulous day on Saturday! The groomsmen played frisbee in the yard, while many of the guests went out for a run, played horseshoes or enjoyed the grounds. Right before the ceremony I went to
check on the groom and groomsmen and found them playing high stakes Italian blackjack (I think it was called 7.5) in the living room. The winner got all the goldfish.
The ceremony was held in front of the bridge, which may be one of my new favorite ceremony locations! The cocktail hour was held upstairs on the deck do to the chilly breeze that was blowing. Christina and Jason had strung
globe lights all through the tent and it created a great atmosphere. Meredith Buxton and Shore Strings played the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
After enjoying some yummy treats (due to the weather the butternut squash soup, was the favorite!) everyone headed inside for the reception. A family friend, Dana Westcott, did the flowers and they were breathtaking! Peace of Cake made them a cake that went perfectly with their wedding colors. Stan Ruddie from ASI Photos took the fabulous photos you see here and Joe Munson from Absolute Entertainment kept the party going right up to the very last dance!
After a farewell brunch, where everyone was invited back to The Oaks one last time, Jason whisked Christina away to their secret honeymoon destination. I guessed they were headed to Salisbury, MD, but with Jason being the traveler that he is, I bet he picked a slightly more exotic location!
